Hello

I'll be visiting Syria in April. I'm especially interested in nature. Could you tell me a bit more about the reserve? Is it possible to visit it? What else is there to see?

Hi!

April is the perfect time to visit Syria. It is the time when Ibis come back, so it could be possible to arrange a bird monitor of the world last 5 wild Northern Bald Ibis (if they managed to survive this year) in Ibis reserve near the historical Palmyra town.

Furthermore, you can arrange to have a visit to Talila reserve where you can see the Arabian Oryx and Gazelle, and have a quick visit to Abou Rajmeen reserve of Human and Nature where the up photo was shot.

It will be time worth to have a visit to the Syrian fairy forests of Furoullok reserve, some 40 km to the north of Lattakia, and passing by Oum Attyour coastal reserve and the Virgin Cedar reserve in the same region.

Do not miss to visit Jabal Al-Arab reserve in the southern Syria in spite that the historical Kanawat and Bosra towns will be more interesting.

These are the major reservs in Syria, and there are a lot such as Nabeih Al-Fawar wood, Jabboul wetland, Euphrates Islands, etc.

By the way, you can find photos about some of these reserves by searching in my photolog archive ;)

Welcome to Syria!
